The Midwest Implant Institute Fellowship
The Midwest Implant Institute Fellowship was founded in 1982 to harbor and extend the education of the premier implant surgeons that have completed The Surgical Externship and exude the skill set, desire and ability to perform more rigorous surgeries, treat more difficult cases. The group of elite Midwest Implant Institute Implant surgeons, “The MII Fellows”, are embodied with Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons, Periodontists, Prosthodontists, Endodontists and General Dentists that carry a career long passion for furthering implant dentistry and embodying the integrity of the Midwest Implant Institute.
Becoming a Midwest Implant Institute Fellow and earning your Fellow Medallion comes with the prestige and symbolizes the remarkable achievement while honoring the dedication, skill and integrity of the doctor.
After Completion of the Surgical and Didactic requirements of the MII Fellowship and all material is submitted. The doctor will perform their final Fellowship Case Presentation to the Midwest Implant Institute Fellows at the Annual MII Fellows Meeting/Symposium. Upon successful completion, the doctor will obtain their Fellowship status and receive The Fellow Medallion during that matching year’s Graduation for the Externs. The Didactic/Course requirements outside of the Midwest Implant Institute is 250 implant-specific CE hours (documentation submitted to the Midwest Implant Institute), within MII the prerequisites for the MII Fellowship are The Bone Grafting & Sinus Elevation Course [601], The Prosthetics Course [603], The Digging Out of Problems Course [605]. Surgically, the requirements extend into procedures and documentation of multiple procedures, such as, sinus elevations, vast bone grafting and spreading techniques, immediate placements, extensive prosthetic procedures and much more.. and being a graduate of The Surgical Externship at Midwest Implant Institute.
Every year, The Midwest Implant Institute selects and honors a doctor with the lifetime achievement award, The Midwest Implant Institute Honored Fellow Award.
