The Externship is Tailor-Made for You.  Tired of trying to cram your education in certain schedules with no flexibility?  The MII Surgical Externship Schedule is made by you.  The Extern doctor can choose to power through to graduation or take as long as they need, depending on their schedule.  Let's face it, your time is production.  It just makes sense for you to schedule your surgical training sessions when it most benefits you and your patients.

Proper Surgical Training Needs a Proper Schedule.  Sometimes performing all of your surgical training in one week or weekend doesn't work well.  The Midwest Implant Institute Surgical program expands to the doctor's desires and needs. . . and so does the schedule to accommodate the proper education and experience.

Live Surgery on Your Patients. Since 1980, The Midwest Implant Institute has been the home of Live Surgery on Your Patients...and it continues to be.  MII simply believes that performing surgery by itself without restoration is just a snapshot of implant dentistry.  This is why MII strongly encourages bringing your own patients so the Extern can complete the entirety of Implant therapy.  

This Externship Can Pay for Itself.  The format of The Surgical Externship allows the participant to complete the restorative process in their office, capturing production, yet with unlimited educational access of MII.  It is imperative to understand that successful implant dentistry is more than just placing implants on patients you will never see again. The Implant Education Never Ends, Neither Does the CE.  It is simple really, as long as you are learning at The Midwest Implant Institute, you are earning CE.  Once you enter the Surgical Externship Program, you will earn between 60-70 hours CE.  But most externs continue to bringing their patients for surgery and raise their surgical ceiling after their graduation... and those externs continue to earn CE.

The Surgical Externship is 60-70 Hours CE.  The Extern doctor can expect to earn 60-70 Implant-Specific CE credits, which qualifies toward other prestigious implant programs such as the American Academy of Implant Dentistry Fellowship and the Midwest Implant Institute Fellowship among many others.  As mentioned above, the MII Extern CE is Never-Ending, with many doctors obtaining over 200 CE credits as they performed surgeries at the highest level under the MII mentorship.
